Clinical/Research Interests: Regina F. Gandour-Edwards' expertise includes surgical, urologic and soft-tissue pathology; head, neck and skull base malignancies; and urologic cancer. She has contributed to several textbooks and studied molecular prognosis markers in prostate cancer on a 1995 Christine Landgraf Memorial Research Award. Gandour-Edwards is investigating the role of cell cycle markers in feline cancer and implications for human cancer. She also has researched metastatic potential of head and neck tumors, and demonstrated that a common stress protein in human skin appears to protect against tumor formation.
