Clinical/Research Interests:  Co-Director of the UC Davis Blood Bank, Carol S. Marshall has expertise in blood transfusion management and monitoring of transfusion reactions in patients. She also performs fine-needle aspiration of the breast, thyroid and lymph nodes, as well as general cancer tissue diagnosis and surgical pathology. Marshall studies antibody screen methods and associated risks of blood transfusions. Her research includes platelet transfusion reactions in newborns, and monoclonal antibodies produced by blood group antigens in rectal and colon polyps.
